Screening Both Passengers and Their Baggage
In the future, passenger screening in commercial aviation will be more closely focused on the passenger than what he or she brings aboard the aircraft. TSA is moving away from its obsession with potentially dangerous weapons best used for gaining control of an airliner or inflicting harm on passengers in favor of searching for explosives and chemical, biological and radiological weapons.
